What You’ll Do

  • Complete system level design and analysis to guide detailed design decisions and FMEAs by estimating system performance, edge operational and excursion conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including thermal mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and customers to understand their requirements and constraints.
  • Lead selection, placement, and validation efforts for electromechanical & thermomechanical components used in DLC products (sensors, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, radiators etc.).
  • Actively participate in early-stage customer engagement for new product opportunities and support the creation of product documentation such as design and product specifications.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with key industry partners, critical component suppliers, and adjacent departments to forge a culture of continuous improvement and best-in-class technology.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience in a similar technical field (system architecture for electromechanical or cooling systems).
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Skilled in fluidic and electromechanical system design with a strong understanding of thermal design, fluid dynamics, control systems, & electrical concepts.
  • Track record of successfully bringing innovative products from concept to production, with a comprehensive understanding of the entire development lifecycle.
  • Possess P.Eng designation or similar professional credentials.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work and excel in fast-paced, complex situations
  • Time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
