Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
An exciting and challenging position exists as the Director, Business Development (Cloud Service Providers) within CoolIT’s Product Department. This role will report into the Senior Vice President of Business Development. As a senior leader on the Business Development team, you will be a key contributor to CoolIT’s continued and aggressive growth, supporting the company’s client relationship and growth strategy with key accounts and channel partners.

Role
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
An exciting and challenging position exists as the Director, Business Development (Cloud Service Providers) within CoolIT’s Product Department. This role will report into the Senior Vice President of Business Development. As a senior leader on the Business Development team, you will be a key contributor to CoolIT’s continued and aggressive growth, supporting the company’s client relationship and growth strategy with key accounts and channel partners.
- Identify strategies that allow our team to gain entry and traction with new clients
- Enable our client-facing team to grow our business with existing clients through strategic account planning
- Oversee all aspects of business growth and results: pipeline, proposals, pricing, contracts, revenue and profit
- Set the path for “what’s next?” in our exciting journey as the world’s leading liquid-cooling technology provider
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee commercial aspects of our client relationships, including program pipeline, product forecast, product pricing, schedules and escalations;
- Business Development: uncovering and fostering relationships with gatekeepers in Fortune 50 companies;
- Proposal Delivery: Coach a team through the proposal delivery process to clients, resulting in a consistently high win-rate track record
- Revenue Growth Strategies: Responsible for developing account management plans for server OEMs and Desktop AIO OEMs that result in double digit YoY revenue growth;
- Client Advocacy: Be the voice and a strong advocate for our clients within the company; continuously strive for and maintain high levels of client satisfaction;
- Team Leadership: Manages a diverse team:
- Key Account Managers responsible for building our program pipeline and sustaining a product portfolio with various cloud service providers;
- Technical Sales Engineers responsible for supporting Key Account Managers during the pre-sales and proposal process to ensure quick response times and high quality information for clients;
- Sales Process: Establish strategic and administrative aspects of sales process in close collaboration with peers and management and ensure your team adheres to the selling process;
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team to generate industry leading sales collateral and proposals;
- Product Knowledge: Continuously engage with and learn from the Product and Engineering teams to develop a deep understanding of our hardware and services;
- Contract Management: Engage regularly in the review and negotiation of various client-related contracts;
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures; and
- Travel: International travel (25% or greater).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years experience in account management roles, focused on large enterprise IT companies
- 5+ years experience managing teams of 10 or more as well as cross functional contributors
- A passion for staying updated on new technologies and incorporating innovative approaches
- Enjoys working in a collaborative culture, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere where creativity and innovation thrive
- A commitment to ethical business practices and maintaining a high standard of professionalism
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent
- Knowledge of data center and IT markets; awareness of data center cooling strategies considered a strong asset
