WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Role:

An exciting and challenging position exists as the Director, Technical Sales at CoolIT Systems. This role will report into the Senior Vice President of Product. As a senior leader, you will be a key contributor to CoolIT’s continued and aggressive growth, supporting the company’s acquisition of new customers and NPI programs.

As the Director, Technical Sales, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Lead a “tip of the spear” team comprised of our most trusted product and technology advisors who play a central role in winning new business

2. Drive market and customer insights into a product vision that inspires our customers and consistently outperforms our competitors

3. Act as a key strategic leader in the company, confidently enabling our teams to engage customers with information and collateral that demonstrates our position as the innovation beacon, authority, and educator to industry

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key strategic role in unlocking the next stage of our growth in Hyperscale and Colocation verticals, while building on our success in the server OEM and desktop all-in-one space
  • Manage a team of Technical Sales Engineers who win NPI opportunities through a deep knowledge of our product, technology and company capabilities
  • Develop winning templates, systems, processes, and tools that impress our customers and allow our Business Development team to move exceptionally fast while delivering the best information to customers
  • Collaborate internally and externally to develop product strategies and roadmaps that further accelerate our lead over the competition. Coordinate across the organization to ensure our product roadmap aligns with customer needs, CoolIT capabilities, and industry trends
  • Coach your team to increase attach rate across products lines, including: Coolant Distribution Units, Rack Manifolds, Passive Coldplate Loops, Rear Door Heat Exchangers, Active Coldplate Loops and Software
  • Represent CoolIT as an industry-leading expert in liquid cooling technology. Participate in industry groups that raise CoolIT’s profile like Open19, OCP, ASHRAE TC9.9 etc.
  • Participate in identifying and assessing M&A opportunities, as well as participating in the due diligence and integration process
  • Develop business cases and go-to-market plans for new technology, products, and services. Collaborate with Product & Program Management to launch these initiatives through CoolIT’s Product Development Process and related processes
  • Make our customers excited to reach out to CoolIT for support while planning their liquid-cooling technology programs
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • International travel (20% or greater)

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in product development
  • 10+ years experience in data center thermal technologies
  • 10+ years experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
