Order Picker/Fulfillment Specialist – Guelph, ON Canada

We are currently seeking an Order Picker/Fulfilment Specialist who will play an important role on our manufacturing team where collaboration and innovation are a big part of our collective success. The main responsibilities include retrieving orders and preparing products for shipment, packaging products, monitoring shipping deadlines and administrative duties including preparing shipping documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Packaging products for shipping while adhering to standard instructions
• Prepare bills of lading for shipments
• Monitor daily shipping deadlines and manage workflow accordingly
• Administer order shipments in software program
• Retrieving and handling packaging supplies
• Complete shipping documentation neatly and accurately
• Adhere to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Proven experience in an order picking or fulfilment role an asset
• Thrives in a team work environment also works well with other teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working in a computerized environment (MS Office)
• Proven capability to learn new systems quickly
• Have initiative to be productive and self-motivated
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Capable of lifting boxes or materials up to 45 pounds when needed
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working with ladders
