Description

Conexiom is on a mission to eliminate the manual work holding manufacturers and distributors back. Our Intelligent Order Automation platform — powered by CoreAI, trained on over one-billion-line items a year transforms how enterprise sales teams operate, freeing them from data entry so they can focus on what moves the needle: revenue. With 20+ years of innovation, a Microsoft Azure foundation, and SOC 2 Type II certification, we build products our customers trust at scale. If you want to work on technology that creates immediate, measurable impact for the people using it every day, you're in the right place.

About the Opportunity

Most Solutions Engineers are strong on stage or strong in the tech stack — rarely both. This role exists because Conexiom's deal cycles increasingly hinge on someone who can do both at once: run a demo that makes a room of executives lean in, and then get into the technical weeds on APIs, EDI, and ERP integrations with a prospect's engineering team an hour later.

You'll work with companies across industries, regions, and company sizes owning the full technical narrative of the sales cycle — from discovery and solution architecture to a demo anchored in customer specific outcomes and impact through to documentation that survives the handoff to implementation. You'll work side-by-side with Account Executives as their technical partner, with Customer Success to keep post-sale promises honest, and with Product and Engineering to make sure what you're selling is what we can actually ship.

Success in year one looks like this: you're running discovery and building tailored demos with minimal oversight, you're the person AEs request for their most technically complex or highest-stakes deals, and you've built at least one reusable asset (a demo flow, a discovery framework, an integration playbook) that makes the next Solutions Engineer we hire ramp faster than you did.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the technical strategy for assigned sales opportunities from discovery to demo through to technical close
  • Builds and delivers customized, high-impact product demonstrations that translate technical capability into clear business value and ROI
  • Architects and scopes integration solutions across customers' ERP, EDI, XML/cXML/JSON, and webservice API landscapes
  • Acts as the technical credibility behind the deal, translating complex architecture into language that lands with both engineers and executives
  • Collaborate extensively with Product and Engineering to funnel real customer feedback and requirements into the roadmap, flagging gaps before they become surprises post-sale
  • Builds reusable demo environments, discovery frameworks, and technical documentation that scale the Solutions Engineering function
  • Supports Sales, Customer Success, and Implementation with technical expertise throughout the customer lifecycle

What You Bring

  • 5+ year proven track record in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales within a B2B SaaS environment
  • Hands-on integration expertise — comfortable working across APIs, webservices, and data structures like EDI, XML, cXML, and JSON, plus real exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, JD Edwards, or similar)
  • Programming proficiency (C# or comparable) strong enough to configure demo environments and hold your own in an engineering conversation, not just describe one
  • A demonstrated ability to run a room — you can present to a VP and debug with a developer in the same afternoon, and neither audience feels like an afterthought
  • Sharp discovery instincts: you ask the questions that surface the real problem, not just the one the prospect led with
  • Genuine charisma paired with genuine curiosity, you're energized by figuring out how to unlock value for a prospect, not just by performing a feature tour

Nice To Have

  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce integrations
  • Working knowledge of modern SaaS auth standards (SSO, OAuth2)
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Exposure to RPA tooling
  • Project management experience
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other Solutions/Sales Engineers
