🚀 About the Role: Product Manager (Shops)

We’re growing, and we’re hiring a Product Manager to join our Product Management Team! In this role, you’ll lead commonsku Shops, with the goal of building the best branded merchandise shopping experience in the world. You’ll own the vision and roadmap for Shops, collaborating with design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to deliver an exceptional e-commerce experience for distributors and their clients.

This role is ideal for someone with product management experience and a background in commerce, design, or consumer technology. You’ll combine customer empathy, data-driven decision making, and strong execution skills to drive meaningful outcomes for our customers and our business.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for commonsku Shops.
  • Partner with designers and engineers to deliver best-in-class shopping experiences, and shop creation/configuration experiences for distributors.
  • Conduct discovery through customer research, data analysis, and market insights to identify opportunities.
  • Write clear product requirements and user stories that translate customer needs into actionable work.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on impact, effort, and alignment with business goals.
  • Measure feature success and iterate based on data and feedback.
    Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to gather feedback and ensure smooth adoption of new features.
  • Collaborate with adjacent product areas (Core Platform & Suppliers) to ensure Shops is integrated into the end-to-end distributor workflow.

🔍 What You Bring

Some of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally with exposure to commerce, design, or consumer tech
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Deep curiosity and empathy for users and their needs
  • Comfort working with qualitative customer feedback and translating it into roadmap decisions
  • Analytical mindset and ability to work with data
  • Balance of strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution
  • Passion for creating simple, elegant, and effective user experiences

Bonus:

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms or SaaS products
  • Knowledge of the promotional products industry or B2B2C commerce
  • Familiarity with agile development processes
  • Technical literacy (reading API docs, basic SQL, or front-end concepts)

💰 Compensation & Perks

We believe in fair, transparent compensation. Starting salary for this role is $80,000–$95,000, depending on previous experience and skillset, plus a 5% annual bonus opportunity based on company performance.

New hires are expected to come in at the midpoint of this range. However, if this role sounds perfect for you and your expectations are outside of this range, we encourage you to apply and let us know in your application about your ideal package. 🌎 Location

This role is open to candidates eligible to work in Canada, with the exception of Quebec (we’re not set up to operate there yet — désolé!).

We’re remote-first, but if you’re based in Toronto, even better. That’s where we were founded and where we maintain our HQ today!
