Why this role?
Cohere seeks a talented Senior Manager, Solutions Architect, to join our pre-sales engineering team!
In this exciting role, you will lead, coach and mentor our fast growing team of Solutions Architects. Our Solutions Architect team is a very strong customer facing technical team with extensive knowledge and experience in Data and AI technologies, dedicated to offering cutting-edge AI technology solutions to our clients. You will play a crucial role in leading the team’s efforts; ensuring we provide the best solutions and guidance to our customers.
As a Senior Manager, Solutions Architect, you will:
- Lead and grow a skilled group of senior level Solution Architects, providing ongoing support and ensuring their technical expertise shines during customer engagements.
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Business Development and other/technical teams to strategize and tailor our approaches to meet customer requirements.
- Act as the technical sponsor and advisor for our customers, developing strong relationships with their executive and management teams throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Gain a deep understanding of market trends and customer challenges to influence Cohere's product roadmaps and solutions.
- Investigate and address any technical obstacles related to deployment, data, or workflow, and provide clear scoping for solutions.
- Become an expert on Cohere's technology, features, and solutions & effectively communicate our value proposition to both senior level business and technical audiences.
- Roll up your sleeves and contribute where necessary while mentoring and developing the Solutions Architect team. Support efforts to expand the team & hire top talent.
This career growth opportunity may be a good match for you if you have:
- 7+ years of leadership experience in pre-sales (managing a team of direct reports) and 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical pre/post-sales Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer role.
- Experience in a fast-scaling startup or a combination of startup and established company environments is preferred.
- A proven track record of delivering AI, ML, and NLP solutions to clients in various industries.
- Proficiency in cloud-native solutions and experience driving GTM motions.
- Strong people leadership skills along with proven experience managing and mentoring a driven and highly technical pre-sales team in a high performance environment.
- Fundamental knowledge of Machine Learning, AI, NLP, and Large Language Models (LLMs).Hands-on experience with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and version control/Git.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
