Reporting to the CRO, we're looking for a driven and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead our Growth Acceleration and Sales Leadership division. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring sales excellence. The VP, Sales will lead a team of sales professionals including Account Executives, Account Managers and Sales Engineers. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of sales leadership, with at least 5 years of direct experience leading a team. This person has a passion for driving results, and a commitment to mentoring and developing sales talent. The ideal candidate is a coach first, but is also someone ready to step in to support the team of AEs by proving their acumen through execution. This leader is guided through data, insights and learning. They are humble, gritty and detail oriented.


Revenue Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities of a universe of ~5,000 SOM (Service Obtainable Market) and innovative sales channels to expand market reach.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with product development and marketing initiatives.
  • The candidate is ideally someone that can teach this company about their Account Based Marketing/Selling approach.

Sales Leadership and Performance Management:

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to drive individual and team success
  • Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and KPIs to monitor progress, track performance, and drive accountability
  • Implement sales enablement programs, tools, and processes to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and drive customer-centric solutions
  • Leverage customer feedback and market insights to inform product development, sales strategies, and go-to-market plans. Coconut is very curious to understand how this candidate can leverage CSAT and CABs to deliver insights
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences throughout the sales process, from initial engagement to post-sale support and beyond

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Work closely with the executive team to develop and refine the company's sales strategy, priorities, and initiatives
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision-making
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and alignment with organizational goals


  • 10+ years of leadership Enterprise sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who have previous experience selling SaaS solutions to financial institutions, such as banks and credit unions.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of sales methodologies, customer engagement strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a focus on driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive sales performance improvements.
  • Passion for sales excellence and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
