About the role:

Clutch is looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to focus on inventory management and pricing strategy!

You are self-motivated, curious, analytical, and excited to support the growth of Clutch by tackling complex and ambiguous challenges using a broad set of skills and knowledge. You’re willing to step outside of your comfort zone and wear many hats to achieve results. You will report directly to the VP of Sales, but also work closely with executive leaders.

In this position, you will have autonomy in managing and driving key operational and special projects across the business and are expected to take full ownership from inception to execution. You will also be responsible for driving the operating rhythm of the business, and pushing forward strategic initiatives by synthesizing insights, making recommendations, building consensus among senior leaders, setting actionable plans, and monitoring performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Determine the optimal strategy to set list prices for 1,500+ in-stock vehicles
  • Determine the optimal strategy to set offer prices for 6,000+ offers sent to prospective Sell to Clutch customers
  • Monitor inventory health on a daily cadence to hit KPIs
  • Execute on special projects including new product launches, margin expansion initiatives, and optimization of day-to-day operations

We’re looking for:

  • A medium to high knowledge of vehicle makes, models and trims (if you don’t know the difference between a Civic Touring and Corolla LE then this isn’t the job for you)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, data visualization tools, and SQL.
  • A candidate who thrives in an in-person, collaborative work environment - this role is in-office 5 days a week - working at our office located at 223 Evans Ave. (moving to a brand-new Mississauga office in December) - remote candidates will NOT be considered
  • Analytical mindset (“good with the numbers”) + execution-driven attitude (not afraid to “roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty”)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams and levels of the organization
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, and operationally intensive environment
  • Strong attention to detail and track record of high-quality output
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ever-evolving business environment

Why you’ll love it at Clutch:

  • Be part of a disruptive, tech-driven company that is transforming the automotive industry, one of the largest and fastest growing B2C startups in Canada.
  • A unique opportunity to join a well funded business with product market fit, but lots of space to drive an impact and learn.
  • Freedom to innovate and ownership of your role - work on meaningful and challenging projects that have a direct impact on the business.
  • Opportunities for growth and development in a rapidly scaling company.
  • Competitive compensation and equity incentives!
  • Health & dental benefits
