The Opportunity

We are seeking a Strategic Accounts Director to drive major revenue growth and build long-term relationships across the public sector. This is a senior individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives in complex enterprise sales, enjoys ownership of the full sales cycle, and wants to have a meaningful impact at a high-momentum company.

Job Summary

The Strategic Accounts Director is responsible for owning and expanding strategic customer relationships, identifying high-value opportunities, and closing complex deals from prospecting through contract execution. You will work closely with Growth, Product, Leadership, and Operations to align customer needs with GovAI’s solutions and long-term strategy.

How Will You Make an Impact?

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial prospecting to close.
  • Identify and close high-value strategic opportunities that drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand customer needs and position GovAI’s solutions effectively.
  • Ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention through thoughtful communication.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Product, Leadership, and Operations to support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide insights from customer interactions to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
  • Support proposal development, pricing, and deal structuring.
  • Adapt to evolving responsibilities in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
  • Contribute to exploratory initiatives as GovAI continues to scale.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related roles.
  • Experience selling SaaS and/or public-sector solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-moving startup environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Compensation

The base salary for this role starts at $85,000–$120,000 CAD, with flexibility for exceptional candidates based on experience, skills, and impact. This role also includes a highly competitive performance-based variable compensation package tied to the achievement of sales targets.
