Auxiliary Instructor, Health-Tech Innovation (Summer 2026)

- If called upon, and attend 2-hour onboarding session in July plus self-directed training prior to stepping into the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following the Financial Technology & Investing course curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they create a simulation of an investment portfolio.
- Showcase proficiency in making investment decisions based on market data, understanding of crypto concepts and how fintech products influence decisions.
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field.
- Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
Role Requirements
- Previous professional experience in financial tech & investment roles.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or finance.
- Proficiency in investment decision-making based on market data, crypto concepts and fintech products.
- Able to explain patterns of manipulation, misinformation, scams, and appropriate response steps.
- Comfortable with teaching core risk concepts and using trends to make fintech-informed investment decisions
- Knowledge of TradingView, Yahoo Finance, paper trading, & CoinMarketCap.
- Aware of Crypto safety and verification: Coinbase and Etherscan.
- Leading group simulations, questioning hype-driven claims, teaching safe and responsible use of AI for research, and reinforcing data-privacy and scam-prevention best practices.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts clearly in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
- The ideal instructor candidates for this course should possess a strong foundation in finance & investment strategies, fintech products and crypto concepts and managing portfolios, as well as some teaching, TA or training experience.
