Description
- Our 2-week version of this course will be offered 1 time at University of Calgary campus in Mathison Hall in north Calgary. The Instructor hired to teach this course must be available from 9:00am-3:30pm MT from June 29-July 10 (plus 1 week in June for training).
- Our 1-week version of this course will be offered 1 time in partnership with Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School at their campus south of Calgary, near Okotoks. The Instructor hired to teach this course must be available from 9:00am-3:30pm MT from August 17-21.
- Create lesson plans and lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following Circuit Stream's Foundations of Medicine & Healthcare course curriculum (curriculum and Instructor guides provided)
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they ideate, develop, and iterate on their final project, a Medical Log Book
- Showcase proficiency in in making treatment recommendations based on symptoms and scenarios
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field.
- Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
- Availability to teach during the day (from 9am-3:30pm) in July and August 2026 (dates listed above)
- Previous professional experience in health and patient care in a clinical environment.
- Nursing designation (RN, LPN, RPN or NP), current Medical School student working towards M.D. or Faculty member of nursing or medical programs.
- Proficient at evaluating medical data and delivering recommendations for patient’s care.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

$1,500.00 - $1,650.00 per week
