Description

The Email Copywriter & Lifecycle Marketer is responsible for turning our audience’s intent, questions, and motivations into high-converting email and SMS conversations that drive revenue, retention, and long-term trust. You will contribute to creating highly-targeted and segmented marketing campaigns, lifecycle emails, retention/reactivation programs, and loyalty building communications. This is an individual contributor role that reports to the Cofounder.
Backgrounds in direct-response copywriting, content marketing, growth marketing, or brand storytelling are all welcome. What matters most is your ability to move people to action through writing.
Please Note: This position will be based fully in-office 5 days per week at Circuit Stream Office: 1011 1st Street SW, Calgary AB.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the strategy and execution of all email and SMS messaging across the customer lifecycle - from first lead to loyal customer
  • Write persuasive, high-converting email and SMS copy tailored to where each reader is in their buying journey
  • Use testing, performance data, and customer insights to continuously improve engagement, replies, and conversions
  • Deploy that messaging through automated journeys, campaigns, and CRM workflows
  • Report regularly on email and CRM performance to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Support the sales team with high-performing email and SMS templates and sequences.
  • Drive retention and revenue through lifecycle marketing strategies, including reactivation and loyalty campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to run campaign emails tied to product launches and scheduled promotions.
  • Use our CRM (HubSpot) to bring your campaigns to life, turning segmentation, timing, and automation into more relevant and effective conversations.
  • Work closely with our Sr. Media Buyer to support and convert a seven-figure sales pipeline through email and CRM tactics.
  • Stay on top of trends in email marketing, CRM tools, and performance optimization techniques.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • 3-5+ years in email marketing, copywriting or lifecycle marketing.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot (or similar CRM/email platform), including workflows, lists, and integrations and willingness to grow into a Hubspot expert!
  • Strong direct response copywriting skills, with an ability to blend storytelling and strategy with the goal of getting the reader to take immediate action
  • Experience with subject line optimization, A/B testing, and creating high converting CTAs
  • Experience working closely with the sales team to support pipeline growth via qualified meetings, applications, conversions and other performance metrics.
  • Ability to use performance data (opens, clicks, replies, conversions) to sharpen your messaging and improve what you write over time.
