Circuit Stream is a leader in future technology skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners with a focus on the skills needed to leverage immersive and emerging technology.

We are seeking passionate React and Next.js developers with prompt engineering skills to teach our Build Your Dream App with AI courses to learners aged 13-18 offered both in-person at campuses in Canada and U.S. and Online (via Zoom)! Students will be learning the basic concepts of app development and how AI can assist in the app creation process, generate React code for common app functionality, leverage AI tools to enhance an app’s functionality and UI design components and deploy an application online using Github Actions and Pages to gather user feedback. The ideal instructors for this course should possess a strong foundation in React and Next.js as well as experience with Visual Studio Code, ChatGPT, GitHub, and Github Copilot, plus some teaching, TA or training experience.

Our Build Your Dream App with AI courses will be offered at multiple times in the formats and locations below (subject to enrollments). Please indicate your availability and location as part of this application process. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to teach during the day (8am - 3pm PT) in March, June, July and August, both online and in-person. Register your interest early to be considered for upcoming Instructor opportunities! Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted starting in January 2025.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following the Build Your Dream App with AI course curriculum.
• Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they build a simple but fully functional web application using React and AI tools.
• Showcase proficiency in app development and how to enhance/accelerate development with AI tools.
• Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field.
• Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.

Requirements

• Availability to teach during the day (between the hours of 8am to 3pm PT) in Spring and Summer 2025
• Previous industry experience in React app development projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio Code, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, React, and Next.js.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
• A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
• A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
• A strong portfolio of relevant work to showcase your skills and experience.
