About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Audio-Visual Technician II - Orange County, CA We’re continuing to break new ground as a powerhouse of innovation: leading the film-to-digital conversion, putting pixels everywhere with Christie MicroTiles® and digital displays, and bringing massive landmarks to life with projection mapping. Plus, we’re on the leading edge of new and exciting solutions: introducing immersive audio, advancing seamless presentation and collaboration, and opening a new frontier with laser projection.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance accurately allowing enough time for transit and testing
- Provide timely and effective technical support to meet the customers’ expectations via telephone or in person
- Develop and maintain good customer relationships
- Evaluation services to engineering for software and hardware changes and the evaluation of new products and designs for the Marketing department
- Troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, e-mail and infrastructure
- Repair, and update products and software
- Ability to diagnose and repair Digital Projectors and Digital systems
- Perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV systems and related equipment
- Support live events/screening
- Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed
- Provide on call technical phone support and field response
- Install and document the installation of AV products and related equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of down time of AV systems
- Perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV system and media systems
- Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed

The experience and skills we value:
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in technical support, networking, field service, PC repair or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in repair/maintenance/theory of Digital projection systems and/or other Audio systems, in technical support, networking, field service, PC repair or related field experience
- Experienced with audio/video test and calibration and related equipment
- Electrical/Electronic understanding/training including troubleshooting skills
- Understand AV signal flow and the ability to troubleshot to find failed component
- Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service
- Experienced with AV testing and calibration equipment
- Excellent communications and customer service skills (verbal, written & analytical)
- Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service
- Understanding of analog and digital circuits
What will put you ahead:
- Experience with professional audio and A/V technologies (AES3, SDI, HDMI)
- Previous experience with troubleshooting at the board level for AV equipment utilizing software, error logs and service manuals
- Knowledge of audio signal processing and audio I/O implementation is a plus
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, and switching
- Negotiating skills in dealing with customers
- Excellent work ethics
- Excellent technical problem solving, troubleshooting, follow up skills
- Must be able to identify a problem and the ability to troubleshoot to a resolve
- Audio calibration experience
- Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines and adjust to quickly changing requirements and environment.
