About the opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automated Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, development, and execution of automated tests for our professional video products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and automation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of the professional video industry. In this role, you will work closely with the product development team to ensure the quality and reliability of our video products, helping to create cutting-edge solutions for various industries.

  • Design, develop, and keep automated test scripts and test frameworks for our professional video products, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to understand product requirements and specifications, finding potential risks and areas for testing.
  • Execute automated tests, analyzing results to find defects, and reporting findings to the development team for resolution.
  • Aid in the development and execution of manual test cases when necessary, ensuring complete test coverage and a thorough understanding of product functionality.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing efforts.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure prompt resolution of defects and aid in troubleshooting issues discovered during testing.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and automation, applying this knowledge to improve testing efforts.
  • Participate in product design reviews and supply input on testability and potential quality issues.

The experience and skills we value:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing and test automation, preferably within the professional video or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools. Ability in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++, and scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with professional video products, standards, and protocols, such as SDI, HDMI, SMPTE, and AV over IP.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
What will put you ahead:

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Travis CI.
  • Knowledge of video processing, streaming, and networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
