About the opportunity:

We’re looking for an Intermediate Image Specialist Product Developer to join our Display Engineering Team. You will be part of an embedded and application software team responsible for fine tuning and perfecting our award-winning LED product. This product is one of the only direct view LED products made in North America, so your ability to push the boundaries and to enhance the product functionality will be critical. Our team is competing with some of the largest competitors across Europe, Asia and the world and we need your help to stand out!

Responsibilities:

  • Desktop UI application development to interact with state-of-the-art imaging systems used to calibrate small pixel pitch LED walls.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining algorithms to optimize the extensive calibration processes.
  • Develop and maintain device drivers and interfaces to communicate with and control imaging systems.
  • Collect, process, and analyze large sets of data to identify issues and new development opportunities.
  • Perform in-depth code reviews across multiple codebases using established guidelines for functionality and style.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, clearly communicating progress, challenges, and insights to the team.
  • Understand and operate highly specialized imaging hardware and software.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.

The experience and skills we value
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or equivalen
  • Strong C++ skills gained from industry or academic experience.
  • Experience in development on Windows and/or Linux platforms.       
  • Object-oriented SOLID design skills.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, application development, multi-tier systems, and service-oriented architecture
  • Knowledge of network protocols for communicating with devices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of creativity, innovation, determination, initiative, and tenacity
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment with a track record of team participation.
What will put you ahead:
  • 2+ years software development experience
  • Knowledge of Python (Data analysis and visualization)
  • Knowledge of computer vision library (OpenCV, Tensor flow, etc.)
  • Knowledge of optical system components (cameras, lenses, lighting)
  • Knowledge of event-driven frameworks (Qt/QML)
  • Experience with GIT version control system
  • Code review experience
