About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Program Manager to join our Engineering Program Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be involved in overseeing and managing multiple new product development and sustaining engineering projects within Christie, to ensure they collectively meet strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive project plans that outlines objectives, scope, timelines, and resource allocation
- Assemble and lead a cross-functional team to execute the project
- Develop and manage the project budget, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and tracking expenses to ensure the project remains on budget
- Identifying potential risks and issues and developing strategies to mitigate and resolve them to prevent project delays
- Maintaining clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including team members, and upper management, providing regular updates on project status
- Adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
- Manage equipment, materials, and other resources essential to the project's success
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure that the final product or system meets or exceeds customer expectations
Location: On site in Kitchener, ON
Qualifications & Experience:
- A University degree in related field with 4+ years of experience in program management within a technical setting
- Engineering or other technical Degree preferred and PMP credentials are an asset
- Successful track record of bringing products from concept to production
- Proven experience in developing, managing schedules and budgets
- Collaboratively work across diverse teams, especially in engineering, supply chain, and product management
- Skilled in working with contractors and suppliers to ensure the success of programs
- Capability to assess risks, comprehend potential impacts, and implement necessary corrective measures
- Strong problem-solving acumen and the ability to devise creative solutions.
- Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in negotiation, management, mentoring and coaching, financial analysis
