The Role

Our mission at Cymax Group is to break down all barriers to make multi-channel commerce easy. As a Claims Associate, you will be acting as the company’s advocate when it comes to processing and adjudicating transportation claims. You will be working directly with both vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure that all claims are closed in a timely manner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a move into a role that is versatile – requiring solid administrative skills in addition to a strong focus on internal and external communications with both vendors, carriers, and customers.

Who You Are

  • Logistics experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and MS Office Suite

What You’ll Do

  • Liaison between the shipping company’s claims team, our internal resolutions team in an event where damage or loss claims occur.
  • Gathers information, researches, and works to resolve claims quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicates any problem resolution steps appropriately to the returns and replacements departments.
  • Assists with department goals, and makes recommendations to Claims Manager, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review, file, dispute, and close claims in compliance with carrier contracts.
  • Takes ownership of any claims assigned; a strong willingness to follow up with the freight company until the issue is fully resolved.
