The Role

As the Director of Marketplaces and Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and growth of our marketplace channels. You will work closely with operations and vendor management to maintain high standards of account health and performance metrics across all channels. Your responsibilities will include SKU management, catalog completion, merchandising optimization, revenue generation, and strategic partnerships with our marketplace partners. Additionally, you will oversee marketplace programs, collaborate with IT and Analytics teams, and provide leadership to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our marketplace and merchandising operations.

Who You Are

You are proficient in managing various marketplace platforms such as Amazon Seller Central, Walmart US, eBay, Houzz, and Target. Your expertise extends to marketplace product management, order fulfillment, and post-order processes. You possess strong analytical skills and are adept at using tools like Power BI. With competencies such as strategic mindset, interpersonal savvy, and ability to manage complexity, you are well-equipped to drive the vision and purpose of our marketplace operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Marketplaces Team Oversight: Provide leadership and direction to the marketplaces team to ensure efficient operation and achievement of goals.
  • Merchandising Team Oversight: Direct the merchandising team to maintain quality control and effective merchandising strategies across platforms.
  • Success Measures:
    • Product Activation Rate: Maintain a product activation rate above 97%.
    • Catalog Completion Rate: Ensure catalog completion rate remains above 95%.
    • Marketplace Health Score: Monitor and improve overall marketplace health metrics.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Overall Marketplace Health Metrics: Evaluate and optimize various metrics to ensure the health and growth of our marketplace channels.
  • MPL Partnership and Growth: Foster partnerships and initiatives to drive growth and revenue for the marketplaces.
  • MPL Program Initiatives: Oversee the execution and effectiveness of various marketplace programs.
  • SKU Activation Rate: Track and improve the rate of SKU activation on marketplace platforms.
  • Listing Error Resolution: Ensure timely resolution of listing errors to maintain a seamless customer experience.
  • Time to Onboard New Vendors and MPL: Streamline onboarding processes to expedite the addition of new vendors and marketplace partners.
  • Content Quality and Improvement: Enhance the quality of product content to improve visibility and customer engagement.
  • eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score): Monitor employee satisfaction and engagement to maintain a positive work environment.


  • Proficiency in Amazon Seller Central, Walmart US, eBay, Houzz, and Target.
  • Knowledge of marketplace product management, order fulfillment, and post-order processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to optimize work processes and drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective teams.
  • Experience in managing complexity and aligning plans with organizational goals.
  • Proven track record of driving vision and purpose in a leadership role.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred
