About the Role

Certn is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner (PCBP) to join its lean, high-impact People team. This is a senior, individual contributor role responsible for providing strategic partnership to leaders across the business globally. The PCBP will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping shape how Certn scales, engages, and develops its people.

As the organization grows, the PCBP will lead initiatives around talent development, organizational design, DEIB strategy, performance management, and change enablement—while serving as a coach, problem-solver, and thought partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior leaders across key global functions.

  • Provide coaching and counsel on leadership, organizational health, and strategic change.

  • Influence decisions by leveraging data, business insight, and people-first principles.

Organizational Design & Culture Building

  • Lead org development initiatives that improve agility, collaboration, and clarity.

  • Develop strategies to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across operations.

  • Shape and guide organizational change and transformation efforts.

Talent Development & Engagement

  • Drive performance management and engagement strategies using tools like Lattice.

  • Lead succession planning and workforce strategy for high-priority teams.

  • Design and execute follow-up action plans based on engagement insights.

People Operations & Insights

  • Collaborate with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Business Partnering to generate data and insights that drive business decisions.

  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of documentation using platforms like BambooHR and Google Suite.

  • Maintain a strong operational rhythm while balancing strategic and tactical needs.

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in a true HR business partnering role with executive-level stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success working with engineering and technical teams.

  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and navigate complex change initiatives.

  • Strong commercial judgment with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

  • High adaptability and comfort operating independently in fast-paced, remote environments.

  • Flexibility on working hours essential to support global regions including APAC and EMEA

  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate across regions and functions.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supporting functions like operations, legal, compliance, finance, or marketing.

  • Coaching certification or experience facilitating talent processes (e.g., 9-box, IDPs).

  • Experience scaling people practices across global teams and regions.
