Reports to: Plant Manager
Location: Mississauga, Ontario (CRH Cement Plant Site) Plant Start-Up: April 2025
Shift Schedule: Days Monday to Friday – On call for emergencies and shutdowns
Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000
Position Summary
Carbon Upcycling is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support the reliability and performance of its new facility located at the CRH cement plant site in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking maintenance activities to ensure safe and efficient plant operations, particularly during start-up and early operations.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities

Develop and maintain maintenance plans, work orders, and equipment records

Coordinate with operations, contractors, and CRH site teams to execute maintenance work

Support spare parts management, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination

Assist with commissioning and start-up maintenance activities

Track maintenance KPIs, downtime, and reliability metrics

Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and site requirements

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to asset reliability and maintenance practices
Qualifications & Experience

Technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience

3–7 years of experience in maintenance planning or coordination in an industrial environment

Experience in cement, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial facilities preferred

Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance practices
