About this Role

We’re hiring a Junior Security Solutions Advisor to join our Advisory Services team. In this role, you will help our customers feel supported as they use the Carbide platform. This is an entry-level position designed to train and develop your skills to eventually grow into a Security Solutions Advisor.

You’ll assist clients with platform setup and usage, while working closely with Security Solutions Advisors to support compliance and advisory projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys customer support, solving problems, and learning about cybersecurity in a practical, fast-paced environment.

This is a remote position. While candidates across Canada are welcome to apply, preference will be given to those based in Nova Scotia.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer Support: Provide day-to-day support to customers using the Carbide platform, this includes anything from answering questions to resolving minor issues.
  • Platform Support: Guide new users through account setup and basic platform features, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Advisory Session Support: Schedule advisory sessions with clients and prepare meeting agendas with Security Solutions Advisors, ensuring every session is focused and productive.
  • Note-Taking: Take detailed notes during advisory sessions, capturing action items and key discussion points. Share call recordings, transcripts, and notes with customers after each session.
  • Project Support: Assist with configuring client accounts, managing projects, and supporting compliance activities under the advisor’s guidance.
  • Documentation & Reports: Edit and update security and privacy policies, assign tasks and due dates, and generate meeting minutes, compliance reports, and audits as needed for clients.
  • Compliance Audits & Attestations: Under the direction of experienced Advisors, support the creation of compliance audit reports and attestations for customers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions to expand your knowledge of security frameworks, advisory methodologies, and client management best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest ways to improve our internal support processes, documentation, or workflow

What you Bring

  • Recent graduate or relevant experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – clear, professional, and confident in both writing and conversation.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and support multiple advisors simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a desire to develop your skills in security, compliance, and advisory services.
  • You take a proactive approach to learning and are quick to step in when you see a way to help.
  • You thrive in a remote-first environment, and know to stay productive and connected while working remotely.

Nice to Haves (But not required)

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) is a plus.
