POSITION SUMMARY:

The goal of the Inside Sales Specialist is to develops and maintain a data base of end users by customer segment in the foodservice market for every major metropolitan area for the Eastern or Western part of the US and to interact via phone, email and social media with those customers to a) bring awareness of Joseph’s products and programs and b) drive repeat purchases and c) drive new sales to gain new business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and maintain a data base of end users by customer segment in the foodservice market for every major metropolitan area for the Eastern or Western part of the US.
• Share marketing support materials that will help bring awareness / drive sales & repeat sales of specific products and product concepts to specific customer segments within foodservice.
• Categorize customers by high, medium, low potential and follow up with these customers and customer groups to address questions via phone and email.
• Coordinate follow up with regional sales team in case in person follow up by customer is required
• Other duties / projects may be assigned from time to time

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Customer Service Experience or Proven inside/inhouse sales experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills & Strong computer skills
• Strong phone skills and email follow up skills
• Sales and Marketing Experience with food products in Foodservice desirable
• Demonstrate communication and writing skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage large amounts of data on computer
• Likes to sell and interact with people
• Attention to detail
• Multi-tasking

EDUCATION

Associates degree and/or equivalent job experience.
