About the role

We’re looking for a strategic and data-driven Shopify Segment Marketing Lead to focus on retaining merchants, increasing app engagement, and driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Bold’s Shopify app portfolio. This role is ideal for someone passionate about lifecycle marketing, customer retention, and maximizing customer value.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that improve merchant engagement and reduce churn.
  • Identify and implement strategies that convince merchants to adopt additional Bold apps.
  • Use data to understand different merchant behaviours and tailor marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Ensure merchants fully understand the value of Bold’s apps through targeted email, content, and in-app messaging.
  • Leverage email, paid retargeting, landing pages, webinars, and social media to keep merchants engaged.
  • Work closely with Product and Customer Success to highlight app features and competitive advantages.
  • Work with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to improve the merchant experience.
  • Utilize HubSpot and other tools to optimize lifecycle marketing, churn reduction, and upsell paths.
  • Track and analyze data on customer engagement, retention rates, churn reasons, and upsell conversions.
  • Manage demand generation agencies and other partners to drive lifecycle marketing success.
  • Continuously test and refine strategies to maximize customer lifetime value.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in Shopify, SaaS, ecommerce, and/or lifecycle marketing with a focus on retention and customer growth.
  • Expertise in email marketing, marketing automation, customer segmentation, and paid retargeting.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot, customer engagement tools, and performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify merchants and their business needs.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends and optimize strategies based on insights.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
