The Role
As Manager, FP&A at Boast.ai, you will operate as a thought partner to executive leadership. You will, as part of the broader finance and operations function, be responsible for analysis and insights into data and operations, lead complex modeling and scenario work, and influence strategic decisions across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on analysis and people leadership, thrives in ambiguity, and is motivated by building scalable FP&A processes that connect financial data to operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Manage and mentor a Principal Financial Analyst
- Serve as a finance partner to executive and functional leaders
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for growth initiatives, capacity planning, and scenario analysis
- Analyze and interpret financial and operational performance; surface insights, risks, and opportunities and provide reporting to hold the business accountable
- Define, track, and evolve key metrics (CARR, retention, CAC, LTV, utilization, gross margin, etc.)
- Prepare executive-level reporting, board materials, and decision-support analyses
- Drive improvements in FP&A processes, systems, and data integrity as the company scales
Skills and qualifications
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategy
- Prior experience managing or mentoring at least 1 direct report
- Strong experience in SaaS and Services organizations, or high-growth startup environments
- Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of SaaS economics, revenue recognition, and services-based business models
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate as a trusted advisor
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Comfortable working with minimal structure in a fast-moving environment
Bonus points for
- Experience in venture-backed or PE-backed companies
- Prior exposure to board-level reporting and investor communications
- Experience scaling finance functions or building FP&A from the ground up
- Familiarity with R&D tax credits or incentive-based revenue models
