About the Events: Blossom Investor Conferences

Each year, Blossom brings its community together IRL through the Blossom Investor Tour. What started as a small, multi-city roadshow has grown into something much bigger.
As our community has scaled, so have our events. The Investor Tour has now evolved into 3–4 large-scale Blossom Investor Conferences hosted across Canada and the U.S., designed to reach our community in major markets with deeper programming, larger audiences, and higher-impact experiences.
This year, we’re going more ambitious than ever.
Our flagship Toronto conference now welcomes 2,000+ attendees, making it the largest retail investor event in Canada. Additional conferences in cities like Vancouver, New York, and beyond bring together hundreds to over a thousand investors at each stop.
Across each conference, attendees can expect:
Moderated panels with leading industry experts
Live discussions with some of the biggest finfluencers in North America
High-energy networking with fellow retail investors
Sponsor activations from the largest financial institutions and fintechs across North America
These conferences are high-visibility, high-energy, and highly operational - and they require thoughtful planning, strong execution, and a dedicated logistics lead to bring them to life.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Event Planner to act as our logistics and execution lead for the Blossom Investor Tour and help make our vision come to life!
This role begins in May, ahead of the first event, and is designed for someone who excels at foundational planning, systems-building, and high-quality execution. You’ll help shape how the tour runs end-to-end, not just show up on event days.
You will own logistics and execution, while our internal team leads programming, sponsors, speakers, and marketing.

What You’ll Do

Phase 1: Foundations & Early Planning

Build and maintain a master tour timeline across all cities
Create repeatable planning templates, checklists, and run-of-show docs
Support venue coordination, walkthroughs, and capacity planning
Begin vendor discovery and coordination (AV, staging, rentals, catering, security)
Identify risks early and flag potential issues well ahead of execution

Phase 2: Active Planning

Finalize city-by-city logistics plans
Lock vendors, layouts, and load-in/load-out schedules
Support volunteer planning (roles, staffing needs, arrival times)
Prepare detailed city-specific run-of-show documents
Act as the operational lead ensuring each city is execution-ready before August

Phase 3: Execution & On-Site Support (August–October)

Manage logistics for each confirmed tour stop
Be on-site for set up and event day
Coordinate vendors, volunteers, and venue staff in real time
Keep events running on schedule and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Apply learnings from each event to improve the next city

Phase 4: Post-Event Wrap & Handoff (Late October)

Support vendor wrap-ups and invoices
Document learnings and recommendations
Update templates and playbooks for future tours

What we’re looking for

4–7+ years of event planning or production experience
Experience executing mid-to-large-scale events (200–2,000+ attendees)
Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and timelines simultaneously
Calm, proactive, and solutions-oriented under pressure
Ability to travel for on-site event execution
Comfortable working in fast-paced, startup-style environments
Familiarity with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, Slack, & Excel

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with multi-city tours, roadshows, or conference series
Background in fintech, media, creator, or community-led events
Experience working alongside sponsors, speakers, or partners

Contract Structure

This is a fixed-term contract role running from May through October
Total contract compensation ranges from $15,000–$25,000, dependent on experience, availability, and scope alignment
The contract will include a lighter ramp-up in June, with increased time commitment during planning and event execution weeks
Compensation may be structured as monthly payments or milestone-based installments, to be agreed upon with the selected candidate
Travel and on-site expenses will be reimbursed separately

How to Apply

Please send a brief note about your relevant event experience and any past events you’ve worked on (portfolio or examples encouraged) to hello@blossomsocial.ca.
We’re excited to meet you!
