As a Senior QA Engineer at Blanc Labs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development and product teams to create and execute comprehensive test plans, automate testing processes, and identify and resolve issues to deliver a seamless user experience. Your expertise in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, AWS, Web technologies, and test framework development will be instrumental in achieving our quality goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify potential areas for testing.
- Design and implement automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Perform regression testing, load testing, and security testing as necessary.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Provide accurate and timely test status reports and communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and testing.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 4+ years of work experience.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on PHP, Laravel, AWS, and test framework development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript for testing web applications.
- Experience with AWS services and cloud-based testing environments.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Cypress, PHPUnit, JEST, Codeception).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to k independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) a plus.
