BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.

BIOVECTRA has an opening for a Spare Parts Inventory Coordinator. This is a Full-Time position located in Windsor, NS.


The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working with maintenance and engineering to gather manufacturer part numbers for spare parts and other general information for mechanical and electrical parts.
  • Using the inventory control software to search for material numbers/gain material information.
  • Researching and obtaining materials, vendors, and distributors.
  • Obtaining and presenting quotes for maintenance spare parts.
  • Issuing requisitions for necessary items and maintaining accurate inventory visibility.
  • Entering and tracking all spare parts data in the Blue Mountain software suite.
  • Bridging the transition of spare parts from ERP system to Blue Mountain software suite as required.
  • Establishing minimum and maximum for spares.
  • Performing inventory counts on a regular basis.
  • Performing the physical organization and upkeep of the spare parts inventory.
  • Updating work orders templates for continuous improvement such as including standard times, any detailed instructions, reference manuals, parts required, and tool/materials lists.
  • Working with maintenance and engineering to create a document management of change.
  • Assessing current documentation to leverage spare part list’s that are already developed.
  • Assisting maintenance with day-to-day tasks when required.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

  • Post-secondary education in Inventory Management or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience working in an industrial or commercial environment.
  • Purchasing experience is considered an asset.
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering trade experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver License
