BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.
BIOVECTRA Inc. has openings for Quality Control Microbiologists. These are permanent full-time positions located in Windsor, NS.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance and calibration of microbiology lab equipment.
- Implementing of USP<61>, <62>, and <71> on a variety of products and samples.
- Preparing samples according to USP monographs, general chapters, and in-house SOPs.
- Completing paperwork for the release of materials, including status labels and certificates of analysis.
- Complying with documented safety practices for the laboratory and the manufacturing facilities.
- Performing chemical analyses when required.
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA’s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
- Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor’s request.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology or related field.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
