At BioRender, we’re on a mission to accelerate the world’s ability to learn, discover, and communicate science — transforming how knowledge is shared and making science open, collaborative, and easily understandable by all.
We’re shaping the future of science communication and are looking for talented individuals to help bring this vision to life!
BioRender is hiring the first Head of BioRender Graphing. This person will own the product strategy, roadmap, and revenue for a product we just launched into a category that hasn’t seen real innovation in decades.
The work is to find product-market fit, build against a deeply entrenched competitor, and grow Graphing into a business with the potential to be even larger than our flagship product given our existing distribution. You’ll report directly to the CPO and will need to work closely with leaders across engineering, go-to-market, and product marketing to get there. Product ownership is the primary lever, but the job is measured in product adoption and revenue.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the Graphing P&L as a true "GM” across both our full serve and self service motions: carry the revenue number and define the strategy to hit it, including pricing, packaging, acquisition, expansion, and retention
  • Establish product-market fit by figuring out which scientists, workflows, and use-cases we win, and building toward that with conviction
  • Develop and execute the roadmap by turning competitive insight, user research, and revenue data into clear product strategy and prioritization calls
  • Shape go-to-market by partnering with product marketing on the product narrative, competitive positioning, and launch sequencing that GTM relies on
  • Support and shift the company into a multi-product sales motion through sales enablement and direct involvement in deals

What you bring

  • Proven track record building a 0-to-1 product and scaling it to meaningful ARR; you know what PMF feels like, and what it feels like when it’s not there yet
  • An analytically rigorous business owner mindset; you have experience owning a P&L or hard revenue target, not just a roadmap, with a demonstrated ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes
  • Experience competing in markets with deeply entrenched incumbents; you have a track record of navigating the product, positioning, and timing challenges that come with it
  • Earns alignment without authority and builds credibility through insight; you bring the team along by being user obsessed and a simple and clear communicator, not through org chart leverage
  • Comfort operating in unstructured, ambiguous environments where there is no playbook and the role is being built from scratch; you create clarity out of ambiguity
  • Science background is a plus; but what matters most is you have curiosity about science and the ability to understand a user deeply and build for them

Why join us?

  • We are mission-driven: we work collaboratively towards our shared vision of improving scientific communication and accelerating scientific discovery. BioRender figures have appeared in more than 54,000 publications

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
