About BioRender

At BioRender, we’re on a mission to accelerate the world’s ability to learn, discover, and communicate science — transforming how knowledge is shared and making science open, collaborative, and easily understandable by all.
We’re shaping the future of science communication and are looking for talented individuals to help bring this vision to life! 🚀

About the Role

We're looking for energetic and detail-oriented Executive Assistants to support our growing Executive team. Executive Assistants at BioRender drive the operational heartbeat of our leadership—we anticipate needs, remove roadblocks, and keep our executives focused on the highest-impact work. We're drivers, not passengers, taking initiative, solving problems before they arise, and moving quickly in a constantly evolving environment.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Toronto. You'll have the flexibility to work remotely but will be expected in the office for key meetings, team events, and collaborative work sessions.

What you’ll be doing

Executive Support
  • Partner with 2–3 executives to manage complex calendars, travel, and logistics
  • Triage and manage communications on behalf of your executives, ensuring timely, professional responses and appropriate prioritization
Strategic Project Management
  • Actively participate in key meetings across your executives’ functions taking notes, tracking action items, and driving follow-through on deliverables
  • Support team-specific and cross-functional initiatives including quarterly planning, leadership meetings, and strategic company events
Team Culture & Events
  • Plan and execute offsites, team events, and socials that foster connection within your departments and across the company—you're a culture carrier, not just a logistics coordinator
  • Work with our Sr Executive Assistant and Office and Events Administrator to provide extra support for our Toronto office when needed
Process Improvement
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve workflows, and introduce new tools or systems
  • Stay current on AI tools and automation to make your role (and your executives' work) as efficient as possible

What you bring to the table

  • 2–4 years of EA or executive operations experience in a fast-paced tech or startup environment
  • Strong communicator with excellent judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Organized and proactive — you anticipate what’s next and thrive in an evolving, high-growth setting
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and AI-based productivity tools
  • Collaborative, reliable, and energized by helping teams run efficiently and effectively
  • First principles thinking: You don't just execute tasks — you understand the "why" behind the work and use that to make good decisions

Why Join BioRender?

  • We are mission-driven: we work collaboratively towards our shared vision of improving scientific communication and accelerating scientific discovery. BioRender figures have appeared in more than 54,000 publications!
