At BioRender, we’re on a mission to accelerate the world’s ability to learn, discover, and communicate science — transforming how knowledge is shared and making science open, collaborative, and easily understandable by all.

We’re shaping the future of science communication and are looking for talented individuals to help bring this vision to life! 🚀

As our Senior Product Manager, Growth, you will lead exciting initiatives in an opportunity space that is still very much zero-to-one. BioRender’s product-led freemium business model is an ideal fit for a Growth concentration (low friction, high user volume, word-of-mouth-friendly) and you’ll get to spearhead some of our highest ROI initiatives in this role.

What you'll be doing:

Within the first 30-90 days you’ll dive in and really understand:

  • The user: Learn everything you can about our users. Do 10+ user calls. Attend 5+ sales demos. Shadow CX. Create a metabase dashboard you’re interested in tracking. Understand different user personas. Create a prioritized list of the biggest pain points in your core area of the journey.

  • Our self service funnel: Get to know the data to understand the volume, mix, and quality of our inbound funnel. Begin to opportunity spot areas for future investment and further exploration.

  • The early product journey: Learn the ins and outs of what critical areas of the product are most commonly utilized in a new user’s workflow. What our hypotheses are for user Activation and ‘Aha’ moments, and where we need to validate further.

  • Understand what the user journey looks like in adopting our product for various Science Communication use cases and assess opportunities for growth projects that drive lift in Adoption and Habit formation

  • Learn about our UGC ecosystem–understand what we’ve kicked off so far, and where you feel there are opportunities to expand it strategically

  • User growth via freemium channel: Assess our freemium channel for new user growth opportunities. Understand our current state of new user growth loops (there aren't many) and where there are opportunities to create new ones.

  • Begin to PM your first growth project or experiment. We’ll set you up with your first project to manage so you can begin learning and making an impact in the wild.

  • The team: Get to know everyone on the Growth EPD team and what their strengths and areas of expertise are. You should intuitively know who would be a good fit to implement which project.

  • The company: Internalize the company objectives, long term business goals, how teams fit together

  • The codebase / systems and lack of: What tools do we have / what tools are missing? What are current areas of technical debt?

  • At this point you should know how to get all the information to make good PM decisions

  • Stand up your first growth roadmap for the upcoming quarter at the end of 90-day mark

  • Collaborate and manage dependencies with key partners across the business to deliver on the first few milestones in the Growth roadmap

What we value:

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally at a fast-growing SaaS startup

  • Proven track record of delivering web/product changes that have significant business impact (have a direct impact on product usage, revenue and/or top of the funnel user acquisition)

  • Successful track record of owning a significant part of a user-facing product and delivering features that customers need, preferably on a web-based product

  • Prior experience working as a growth PM is preferred

  • Science background is a plus but not required!

Note: We recognize that career paths vary, and your unique journey may have equipped you with the necessary skills even if you don’t meet all of the criteria above. If you believe you have what it takes to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply!
