We’re looking for a Billling Specialist (contract) to support our financial operations by managing invoicing, collections, and cash applications with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll handle daily A/R tasks including invoice generation, cash receipt posting, and resolving payment issues with customers.
The role also involves working cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers to address A/R-related requests, complete supplier questionnaires, and support month-end reconciliations and accruals. You’ll play a key role in process improvements that enhance cash flow and operational effectiveness.
* This is a remote role with the requirement to work one day per week in our Toronto office to assist with cash and cheque processing.

What you'll be doing
- Accurately and timely produce invoices for all types of service offers, track against customer POs where applicable
- Review and post daily cash receipts, ensuring accurate cash application — including electronic deposits of physical cheques
- Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on past-due accounts, and work with customers to resolve payment issues
- Liaise with various departments for any A/R related requests
- Complete supplier questionnaires as required
- Play an active role in continuous process improvement, helping implement strategies that drive operational effectiveness
- Support month-end tasks including A/R account reconciliations and unbilled receivables accrual
- Take on additional tasks and special projects as needed
What you bring to the table
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven customer service experience
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- A team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for excellence
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Stripe, Salesforce and ZenDesk is a strong plus
