About the Role:
As an IT Support Specialist at BioRender, you will be on the front lines of ensuring a seamless and efficient technical experience for our team. You will play a key role in onboarding new employees, resolving day-to-day technical issues, and maintaining IT documentation. This role reports to our IT Manager and is vital to keeping our internal systems running smoothly as we scale. This role requires in-office presence three days per week, as well as onsite support during events at our Toronto location.
What you’ll be doing:
- Execute accurate and timely IT onboarding and offboarding for employees, including hardware/software setup
- Respond to and resolve user-reported technical issues across macOS and Windows environments
- Help analyze, improve, and maintain internal IT documentation and onboarding materials
- Assist in building a scalable IT infrastructure by implementing best practices and improving integrations (e.g. service accounts vs. individual dependencies)
- Support the implementation and maintenance of tools like MDM, IdP, and directory services
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address recurring technical issues or process improvements
- Provide in-office IT support during onsite events and team gatherings in our Toronto office
What you bring to the table:
- College diploma in IT or equivalent, with 1+ years of professional experience (or 3-4 years of relevant work experience)
- Solid understanding of IT concepts and best practices, especially around networking (DNS, DHCP, VLAN)
- Proficiency in macOS and Windows environments, with strong troubleshooting capabilities
- Familiarity with concepts like MDM, identity providers (IdP), and directory services
- A strong user-focused mindset with attention to detail and process orientation
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and follow IT industry best practices
- Bonus: Hands-on experience with G Suite, MDM tools, and network equipment
