Job Summary
The HR and Recruitment Specialist is a dual role combining full-cycle recruitment with comprehensive HR administration. This position is critical to scaling BinSentry’s talent acquisition while ensuring efficient and accurate HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment (~ 70%)
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.
- Partner with managers to define role requirements, create recruitment documentation and develop talent strategies for rapidly scaling teams.
- Build pipelines for critical roles and maintain strong talent networks.
- Track recruitment metrics and continuously improve hiring processes.
- Revamp the onboarding experience, including document collection and timing, first-day flow, 30/60/90-day check-ins, and new hire orientation presentations.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to create comprehensive Job Sheets for all BinSentry positions.
- Produce monthly reports and establish dashboards to support recruitment and HR metrics.
HR Administration (~ 30%)
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS.
- Manage employment documentation, contracts, and employee files in compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepare HR reports, audits, and compliance documentation as needed.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently implemented across the organization.
- Develop a system to automate training notifications and tracking across all BinSentry platforms.
- Track training requirements and ensure timely completion, under the direction of the HR Manager and HR Director.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably for software or hardware roles.
- Experience in fast-moving or rapidly scaling organizations.
- Demonstrated progression of responsibility in recruitment roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration and employment law compliance (Canada and U.S.).
- Proficiency in IT tools, including GSuite and AI applications.
- Indepth experience using recruitment platforms such as Indeed, as well as managing relationships with recruitment agencies.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
