As we scale up, we're looking for an Electronics Engineer to help design and build awesome new hardware. We need someone who is excited to push the limits of technology and create the systems that will power the Mill of the Future.

What is an Electronics Engineer expected to do?

  • Create documentation for incoming inspection and SPC systems
  • Design digital, analog and power circuits in Altium
  • Prove systems work as intended through the bring-up process
  • Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements
  • Create work instructions for production to assemble your systems
  • Create documentation and guide final systems through the certification process
  • Run tests in our environmental chamber to ensure system reliability

Qualifications

  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years of experience designing electronic systems and PCBs
  • Trained and experienced in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) to medium volume manufacturing
  • Comfortable with Vernier calipers, micrometers and surface plates
  • Very comfortable using Altium in all phases of schematic capture, PCB layout and component footprint creation
  • Familiar with oscilloscopes, multimeters and related equipment
  • Capable of hand soldering small SMD components (0402 or smaller)
  • Experience working with prototype PCB CMs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet protocols, microcontrollers and switching power supplies
  • Some exposure to writing firmware in C either directly on microcontrollers or with an RTOS
