We are looking to add a QA Engineer to our Waterloo team. The candidate will communicate with QA and development teams and have strong analytic/problem-solving skills. You will develop testing strategies, identify problems, and prepare test documents and reports; use knowledge of OS, networking, and security to verify/validate new features.Job Responsibilities:- Meet with development to determine QA parameters and provide feedback.- Perform automated and manual testing on Unix/Linux distros/kernels.- Troubleshoot quality issues; modify procedures; produce QA reports.- Respond to requests from design, deployment, and management; implement/read QA code and test plans; document testing/deployment procedures.Required Skills:- Bachelor’s or higher in CS/CE or related; Unix/Linux experience; ability to write C and Python plus shell/Expect scripts; OS design concepts; network/file transfer protocols.- Knowledge of security concepts is an asset; Robot Framework and Pytest familiarity are assets; Jira and Git familiarity.Other: Ability in C++ is not C; real Python experience needed.Benefits: RRSP matching; extended health benefits.Job Type: Full-time
