We are looking for a Manager of Global Operations to join our dynamic team in Calgary, AB. This role requires operational experience with a global SaaS product as well as a knack for interpreting global regulatory requirements and translating them into simple operational and product workflows.
Benevity’s Global Operations team is driving forward our industry-leading global donation platform and products. We currently have partnerships with twelve foundations/entities around the world and are looking for a savvy, driven, leader to help us continue to grow this network into the next generation global donation platform.
You will play a very key role in driving the strategy and execution of our global infrastructure, including solving for current customers, enabling business growth and ensuring we effectively implement compliant global solutions that solve for the ever-growing complexity of the international giving space.
This role reports directly to the Director of Global Operations and Foundation Partnerships, along with the Manager of Nonprofit Operations (our vetting team). Your team of Global gurus includes four Foundation Specialists and two Global Analysts and is part of the larger Operations team at Benevity, which reports up into our V.P of Operations and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). We are a central team responsible for the client donation funding process, as well as foundation partnership relationship management, oversight and cause disbursements. We’re agile, responsive and always solving for and partnering with our many diverse global stakeholders including clients, foundations, partners and third party providers.
What you’ll do:
Manage and lead both our Global Growth and Foundation Partnership teams in support of the following, and other duties as required:
Leadership & Business Development
- You will be responsible for ensuring clients and their global users’ experience remains best in class, by maintaining and developing new markets for donations to be supported natively. This involves staying up-to-date on the competitor and charitable landscapes, building out support strategies for a variety of global users, developing business cases for new markets and working across teams to clearly articulate Benevity’s global solutions.
- Support internal (Client Success, Sales, Implementations) and external client requests for global program support and recommendations.
- Monitor adoption of Benevity’s global experiences and support Sales and Client Success in driving increased adoption for global experiences.
- Drive forward international expansion, business cases and analyses for prospect and client requests, as well as growth opportunities.
- Provide oversight for project management of new foundation/funding entities and tax effective or localized currency experience implementations. This involves working with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance Operations, Marketing, Sales and Client Success.
- Provide recommendations on partnership fee structures and maintain cost strategies.
Regulatory
- With the strong support of our Legal team, you will be responsible for understanding markets where the charitable landscape is more challenging and working collaboratively to find solutions for giving and volunteering within these regulatory environments.
- Oversee and support foundation governance and operational activities, ensuring that our foundation partners are well supported and remain in good standing within their associated jurisdictions.
- Provide guidance on implementing globally complex requirements into operational workflows and product solutions in a scalable, cost-effective manner
- Work closely with Nonprofit Operations team to identify opportunities to enhance vetting processes for international considerations
- Manage client communications for global compliance processes and ensure clear understanding and easy adoption of processes.
What you’ll bring:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree required (Masters Degree preferred) and 7+ years of experience working in a client-facing role or operational role, tech and/or nonprofit industry experience preferred.
- 5+ years of management experience
- Experience with a global SaaS product preferred.
- A proven ability to build relationships with global internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with remote teams.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines.
- A strong desire to learn and grow.
Asset but not required:
- Global Experience
- Experience with creating business plans and financial models
- Experience sitting on a Board of Directors (corporate or nonprofit)
- Second language
