Science Tech Lead

You Will:
- Your primary focus will be on ensuring the scientific accuracy and coverage of our reagent, bioinformatic databases and knowledge graph by supporting their development, update and maintenance, which include: Oversee and contribute to the maintenance of our current bioinformatics ontologies, Integrate internal and external datasets into unified knowledge graphs or databases with appropriate metadata and provenance tracking, Maintain and enhance existing reagent mapping pipelines, Design and implement new pipelines to improve the efficiency of existing methods
- Lead data analysis projects and evaluations to derive actionable biological or technical insights.
- Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to optimize performance, automation, and data integrity
- Drive the design and development of new bioinformatics features, tools, and pipelines that enhance our platform’s capabilities and improve user experience.
- Lead research initiatives to expand and refine our methods for data collection, integration, and analysis across existing and emerging applications.
- Provide scientifically grounded recommendations to guide technical decisions and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and relevance.
- Mentor and support junior scientists, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture grounded in scientific excellence
You Have:
- PhD in bioinformatics, life sciences, orrelated scientific discipline with 3-5+ years as a Tech Lead orin a similar role (eg. Computational Biologist, Lead Scientist), demonstrating success in launching and managing complex projects/products.
- Experience using major biological resources such as Ensembl, UniProt, and Entrez.
- Proficient in data processing and wrangling tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel.
- Experience working with large datasets, preferably scientific databases.
- Experience with: Immunological methods (in vitro, cell-based and analytical), Genetics (cloning, CRISPR, NGS, PCR), Analytical Biology (pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, LC/MS, SPR), In vivo studies (cell cultures, animal models)
- Demonstrated interest in data curation with exceptional attention to detail, including willingness to perform repetitive tasks focused on data curation.
- Drive and curiosity to identify new and alternative methods for automating and optimizing repetitive tasks, improving overall efficiency and data quality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Bonus points:
- Experience working in the life sciences industry or pharma.
