What you’ll be doing

  • Provide supportive leadership and mentorship to your team to foster growth and career development.
  • Own the Unit's engineering budget and manage it in continuous alignment with the Unit's and company's P&L.
  • Collaborate with Unit leadership to define and execute the roadmap, aligning with the overall company, product department objectives, and technical strategy.
  • Action strategic initiatives to enhance product quality, scalability, and engineering efficiency.
  • Enable your managers to attract and onboard top engineering talent and build diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization, emphasizing empathy, high performance, and psychological safety for all team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, design, and other stakeholders to accomplish project outcomes.
  • Implement best practices for project management, Agile methodologies, and continuous delivery processes.

What you need to be successful

  • Experience in software engineering, including in a similar role.
  • Experience in leading leaders, including a focus on their development, providing regular feedback and managing performance reviews.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with B2B SaaS products or relevant industry domain knowledge.
  • Role model for being a humble servant leader.

What you'll get

  • Competitive Compensation - we offer attractive salary packages including an Employee Stock Option Plan.
  • Flexibility - we offer flexible working time models and the option of hybrid work, and support this with a yearly flex work allowance of €1560.
  • Growth Budget - all employees get a yearly budget for external training of €1000, and one day off for growth per year (increase to two days in 2nd year).
