The Manager, Learning Content demonstrates exceptional skills in transforming source content into communications or micro-learning content and a knack for people leadership, which will be utilized to help lead the team through designing and creating content on various topics of varying complexity. This role applies knowledge of instructional design to contribute to and oversee the day-to-day activities associated with researching, developing and organizing content in logical sequences that our customers will love.
The impact you'll have:
- Support and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Learning Content Managers, with support from the Director of Creative and Instructional Design.
- Meet regularly with direct reports to develop their skills and knowledge through 1:1 discussions, team meetings, and the performance and development review process.
- Foster an environment that creates opportunities, serves others, builds trust, and encourages innovation.
- Identify expectations and coach through performance gaps.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience team leaders and the team to shape the instructional design processes, practices, and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports and ensure adherence to established processes while encouraging continuous improvement.
- Maintain an awareness of the trends and technologies that may contribute to improving our services.
- Strategize with Instructional Design leaders to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the team.
- Partner with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Support, Implementation) to ensure alignment, streamline processes, and improve the customer experience.
- Assist in scheduling and planning for the team of Learning Content Managers.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and with excellent quality.
- Act as the first level of escalation for all project and customer-related issues.
- Communicate project status updates to senior leaders and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- In collaboration with leadership, strategize and implement new initiatives.
- Manage Core and Strategic projects as needed.
- Encourage and promote best practices related to Axonify’s methodology and lead by example by adhering to best practices when developing learning or communications content.
- Evaluate customer content against Axonify’s unique methodology.
- Partner with customers to ensure the instructional design meets their business needs.
- Design and create e-learning training modules and videos.

What you'll bring:
- University degree in Writing, English, or Communications, or equivalent combination of education & experience. Adult Education or related qualification is an asset.
- 6+ years of relevant writing or instructional design experience.
- People leadership/mentorship experience is considered an asset.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving, dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented, highly enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Personal drive for the highest quality.
- Demonstrated a high level of professionalism and leadership.
- Demonstrated focus on effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen and provide effective feedback.
- Experience conducting independent research to bridge knowledge gaps.
- Superior writing, editing, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience engaging and communicating with stakeholders, L&D professionals, and subject matter experts.
