The Marketing Operations Manager possesses a strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical proficiency in Marketo, Salesforce, and 6sense, enabling the successful execution of marketing operations and driving business growth through effective marketing automation and analytics. This role works closely with our Business Operations and Marketing teams to optimize and manage our marketing systems.
Responsibilities involve identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to advance our marketing efforts. A primary focus is optimizing our marketing platforms and integrated applications to meet the company's overall objectives, as well as driving efficiency and scale into marketing and operations processes. The Marketing Operations Manager is also responsible for comprehensive marketing reporting, analyzing key performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to drive decision-making.

The impact you'll have:

  • Implement data hygiene strategies in Marketo, ensuring synchronization with Salesforce for deduplication, verification, enrichment, and cleansing of the database.
  • Architect and refine lead lifecycle and revenue cycle models with sales and marketing teams, optimizing lead stages and lead scoring models in Marketo.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and configuration changes across the marketing tech stack, focusing on Marketo and Marketo Measure (Bizible).
  • Provide support and training to marketing and revenue teams to ensure effective utilization of marketing systems.
  • Oversee the 6sense instance to optimize account segmentation, intent data utilization, lead scoring models, and governance strategies to enhance ABM (account-based marketing) initiatives.
  • Ensure email deliverability through SPF (sender policy framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) authentication and manage the Preference Centre for database accuracy and compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CASL (Canada's anti-spam legislation), and other international privacy laws.
  • Develop and maintain Campaign and ROI (return on investment) reporting and dashboards in Salesforce using data from Marketo and Bizible, and provide regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve efficiencies in Marketo and the marketing operations tech stack, staying current with industry trends and driving innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to support and streamline workflows across the marketing tech stack.
  • Lead and manage projects related to system upgrades, implementations, and integrations, including developing project plans, timelines, status reports, and providing training and troubleshooting for end users.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or marketing operations within a SaaS and B2B environment, where at least 3 of those years have direct marketing operations experience
  • Minimum 3 years as a Marketo administrator, with direct experience administering a Marketo instance. A Marketo certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Marketo Measure (Bizible) is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM for reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with 6sense or similar predictive analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholders effectively.
