We’re looking for an enthusiastic, thoughtful, and self-starting Instructional Designer to research, design and create learning content for a broad range of micro topics. This role is open to recent graduates looking to flex their relationship building and writing skills!
As a key member of the Customer Experience Instructional Design team, this role works independently but thrives on collaborating with peers and customers while leveraging past experiences to create interesting, thought-provoking training content.
The impact you'll have:
Learning Content Creation:
-Meet with external customers to identify their training needs and provide recommendations based on best practices:
-Understand and explain Axonify methodology and best practices to customers
-Clearly define and articulate customers’ current training goals and intentions
-Review source material and conduct additional research as needed to gain a thorough understanding of subject matter
-Create question-based training content by leveraging your understanding of the Axonify learning methodology
-Design and develop storyboards to be used by members of the team for the creation of e-learning training modules, audio recordings and videos for a variety of topics
-Produce a high quality of writing in all customer-facing communications and follow the ID team’s 4 Cs of Writing: clean, clear, concise, consistent
-Conduct reviews of client and peer content, including training plans and storyboards, to ensure writing reflects Axonify’s methodology and style guide
-Manage multiple projects and maintain accurate time tracking
-Effectively handle implementations for customers
-Co-facilitate pre-designed customer workshops in partnership with another Instructional Designer to help customers learn Axonify best practices
-Be familiar with resources and documentation to assist in handling customer objections; seek guidance from senior members of the team for unfamiliar or new customer objections
-Build rapport with customers through interpersonal skills; confidentiality converse with and make recommendations to customers and SMEs at all levels of the organization
-Other duties as required
The things you bring:
-A minimum of 2 years of writing experience within a B2B organization or media outlet
-Superior writing, editing, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
-Writing, English, or Communications gained through post-secondary education, experience or a combination of both. Adult Education, technical writing designations or related qualification is an asset.
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, project management and time tracking tools
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong project management skills with the ability to tackle shifting priorities each day
-A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
-Passionate about learning how different organizations operate and helping their employees bridge knowledge gaps through developing curated questions
