Role Overview
We are looking for a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to support our growing operations and finance team. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and assisting with compliance and reconciliation. You’ll play a critical role in helping maintain AXIBO’s financial health and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal review

Assist in payroll processing and benefits tracking

Coordinate with external accountants for year-end tax filings and audits

Help track HST/GST remittances and corporate tax payments

Manage expense reports and vendor invoices

Organize and maintain financial documentation and backup records

Support budgeting and forecasting activities with up-to-date data
Requirements

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

1–3 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience

Proficiency with accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)

Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Familiarity with Canadian tax, HST, and payroll regulations is a strong asset

Experience working with startups or tech/engineering companies is a bonus
