About this role

Avidbots is seeking a full-time data analyst to work within our R&D team to help us understand and find key variables and patterns to overcome the problems in our day-to-day operations. This will include collecting data, reporting metrics and generating insights from a variety of sites using tools such as Command Center (Internal web platform), Google Sheets, and Periscope, among others. This role will be a key player in maintaining and understanding our data to support data-driven business decisions and will report to the Application Engineering Manager with a dotted line to the Colombia Regional Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data collection systems and databases to gather, process and display data in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover insights that can help R&D understand customer's experience.
  • Support users of the Business Intelligence platforms (dashboard creation and reporting using SQL) to improve business decision-making.
  • Use data analytics to present the results of your findings in writing, verbal, and dashboards directly to both our staff and our clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data analytics tools and techniques to maintain data governance policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst/engineer or equivalent.
  • B.Sc. or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Software engineering, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in SQL, Relational Databases (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL/Redshift or similar), Python, Version control systems (Git), Excel functions, and Pivot tables.
  • Experience with applications/scripts/APIs to analyze database data.
  • Excellent fluency in verbal and written English.
  • Availability to work in EST time zone.

Nice to have (Anything here is a plus)

  • Experience with Sisense for Cloud Data Teams (Periscope)
  • Experience with AWS or Azure data solutions
  • Understanding of ROS concepts, localization, and Robotics in general.
  • Agile Methodologies
  • Front end UI
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Basic skills with Linux-based operating systems (bash scripting, command line, etc)
