As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Business Operations Manager with an engineering/technical background to help bridge the gap between operational excellence and technical execution.

This is not your typical operations role. You’ll work closely with our engineering, facilities, finance, support, and leadership teams to ensure our Canadian operations and U.S. sites run seamlessly. Your mix of technical understanding and operational know-how will help you manage compliance, coordinate with funding agencies, oversee multi-site facilities, and support complex projects involving specialized equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage corporate compliance and governance for Canadian and U.S. entities, including government filings, procurement portals, and security clearances.

  • Oversee lease agreements, vendor contracts, and facility operations across multiple locations, ensuring technical requirements are met.

  • Coordinate with funding agencies to maintain relationships, update contacts, and meet program requirements.

  • Partner with engineering teams on equipment installations, facility upgrades, and NOVAC device certification.

  • Track and manage insurance renewals, software licenses, and contractual obligations.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking in collaboration with finance.

  • Act as a key point of contact for legal, compliance, and contract matters involving technical projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in engineering, technical operations, or a related discipline combined with strong business/administrative skills.

  • Experience managing operations in a technology-driven environment, ideally with multi-site or international exposure.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical and operational challenges. Good understanding of cross border transactions.

  • Excellent communication skills for working with technical teams, government agencies, and vendors.

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, contracts, and financial processes is an asset.
