What’s this role about?

As the Manager, Account Management, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of Account Managers, reporting to the Director of Customer Success within our Revenue organization. Leveraging your experience in managing revenue-generating teams (such as Customer Success or Sales), you will guide your team in identifying and driving upgrade and cross-sell opportunities within our customer base.

This is a new position at Auvik and the team you lead will play a key role in driving the company’s overall growth. We’re seeking someone with experience in building or shaping an account management or customer growth team, particularly in establishing and executing a scalable, high velocity sales process.

What will you be doing?

As the leader of the Account Management team you will be responsible for ensuring your team meets its quota, serving as the first escalation point for commercial negotiations, and actively managing the funnel and forecast, which you will report to senior Customer Success leadership. Additionally, you will be responsible for the ongoing mentoring and development of the Account Management team including recruiting, hiring, and training new team members.

You will:

  • Be accountable for the quality and volume of your team’s funnel along with the accuracy of the forecast.
  • Coach team members on how to effectively identify opportunities and build both a cross sell and upgrade funnel.
  • Be the first point of escalation in all commercial negotiations, engaging with your peers across the other functions at Auvik to deliver high-quality wins.
  • Work with other revenue leaders (including marketing, customer success, and product) to design and execute programs and initiatives that build cross sell and upgrade funnel for your team.
  • Deliver ongoing mentorship and development of the account management team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new Account Managers on customer engagement and sales processes.
  • Conduct weekly forecast meetings. Coach direct reports regarding strategies to drive deals forward to close.
  • Consistently monitor sales activity of the team and track the results, identifying areas for improvement/opportunity for all the Account Managers and your business. Effectively raise and communicate these to leadership.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success and Sales leadership teams (as well as cross functionally with Finance and Product teams) to share learnings, best practices, trends, and feedback

What are we looking for?

  • Several years prior sales management experience showing consistent ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Experience selling into Managed Service Providers.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Flawless forecasting & funnel management.
  • Extensive history of creative solutions in commercial negotiations.
  • A strong drive for results.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven experience using and coaching a scalable, high velocity sales process.

Compensation Details:

At Auvik, our compensation philosophy is to be market competitive, reward performance, reflect our commitment to equity and maintain transparency with our employees. We have defined job levels and compensation ranges for each of our markets we employ, based on research from various sources of market data, which are reviewed on a regular basis.

The hiring range for this position is listed below. Compensation offered for candidates in this role is based on a number of factors including job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. These factors may cause your compensation to vary within the range outlined below.

In addition to cash compensation, all full-time employees are granted stock options to share in Auvik’s future successes. Auvik employees are eligible to participate in additional benefits and programs including our comprehensive health and dental benefits plan, Wellness spending account, GRSP matching program, flexible paid time off, paid parental leave program, and are eligible for remote working subsidies.

OTE Salary Range (Base + Target Incentive):
$139,000$181,000 CAD
