What’s this role about?

As a member of the finance team at Auvik you will actively support and participate in administering the procure-to-pay cycle for Auvik’s global entities. You will own the company’s expense systems, AP process and cash functions. You will play a key part in helping scale the financial operations of a high-growth tech company, increasing automation and implementing best practices as we continue to grow. We are looking for candidates who are passionate, agile, energetic and always looking to challenge the status quo. This role reports to the Assistant Controller, and will work closely with the FP&A and the Tax Team. Join our dynamic team, who are on a mission to help the company reach its north star!

What will I be doing?

  • Prepare cash requirement reports for weekly vendor payments run and administer payments through banking platforms
  • Develop and update cash forecasting models to predict future cash flows and ensure adequate funds are available or excess liquidity
  • Cash management (FX trades, interco payments, loan payments, fund accounts, transfer from paypal) daily
  • Own banking relationship, first point of contact for unreconciled transactions
  • Maintain vendor payment templates in banking platforms along with contacting vendors to verify banking information
  • Track corporate credit card expenses, set up accruals and assist in the processing of timely payments on monthly credit card bills
  • Complete GL reconciliations for month end as assigned, understanding the balances and investigating unreconciled items for timely resolution
  • Serve as primary administrator for expense system - (set up new users, assist users with completing accurate expense reports, complete journal entry imports into accounting system, complete monthly period end credit card reconciliations, manage out of pocket expenses, reviewing company policy compliance, troubleshoot errors in system)
  • Serve as Credit card admin (set up new card accounts, cancel accounts, update limits, provide support in case of fraud)
  • Represent the best interests of the Finance team for any system implementations, integrations or projects that pertain to the AP and treasury functions
  • Liaise with Finance team as needed to update AP and treasury controls and remediate as necessary
  • Liaise with auditors and provide documentation and process commentary as requested for audits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, adhere to all controls processes
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and/or automation and scope, recommend and implement changes with the support of the Assistant Controller
  • Create and/or maintain process documentation for all processes
  • Ad hoc projects/task to support the business

What are we looking for?

  • Post secondary education in accounting, finance or business & admin.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills including the capacity to perform detailed analysis while understanding broader context and implications
  • Ability and interest in working with technical aspects of financial systems; ERP or accounting system implementation experience a plus
  • Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing, at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects to completion

Compensation Details:

At Auvik, our compensation philosophy is to be market competitive, reward performance, reflect our commitment to equity and maintain transparency with our employees. We have defined job levels and compensation ranges for each of our markets we employ, based on research from various sources of market data, which are reviewed on a regular basis.

The hiring range for this position is listed below. Compensation offered for candidates in this role is based on a number of factors including job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. These factors may cause your compensation to vary within the range outlined below.

In addition to cash compensation, all full-time employees are granted stock options to share in Auvik’s future successes. Auvik employees are eligible to participate in additional benefits and programs including our comprehensive health and dental benefits plan, Wellness spending account, GRSP matching program, flexible paid time off, paid parental leave program, and are eligible for remote working subsidies.

Salary Range:
$58,500$76,000 CAD
