Accountant
Aspect Biosystems
We are seeking an Accountant to join Aspect’s Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage essential financial operations, execute on business-critical tasks such as such as AP, AR, payroll, and assist with the month end closeout process. Your expertise will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Verify and process invoices to ensure vendor transactions are properly documented.
- Verify and process invoices, ensuring vendor transactions are properly documented.
- Create and issue invoices to customers and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Reconcile credit cards, as well as accounts payable and receivable accounts.
- Review expense claim forms, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors, contractors, and staff.
- Prepare Wire and EFT runs to ensure employees, contractors, and vendors are paid on time.
- Assist with period-end and year-end closing tasks.
- Prepare payroll runs for employees in both Canada and the US.
Qualifications
- Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Experience: 3-4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office with intermediary skills in MS Excel. Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite is an advantage.

The hiring range for this role is $68,800-$80,925 annually. Our ranges are based on market data. Offered salaries will be based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. For candidates who exceed role requirements, we are open to exploring above-range offers. Note that base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Aspect.
